CAPSULE PROGRAM: CUSTOM CUT & SEW

A capsule collection is a carefully curated selection of custom styles that prioritizes quality over quantity.

Stateless will provide professional apparel design & development / production management resources on a flat fee spread over 12 monthly payments.

TIMELINE 7-14 MONTHS

  • 1 Style: $650 per month for 12 months

  • 2 Styles: $1,300 per month for 12 months

  • 3 Styles: $1,650 per month for 12 months

  • 4 Styles: $2,100 per month for 12 months ($525 per month for each additional style)

DESIGN

  • Digital flat sketches front and back views/designs in Adobe Illustrator (up to 3 drafts if necessary)

  • Production-ready tech packs with call outs for all sewing details

  • Bill of Materials for each style

  • Fabric sourcing/Trim sourcing (up to 2 comprehensive rounds if necessary)

  • Garment specifications for the sample size; fit development for the brand

DEVELOPMENT

  • Direct, manage and execute sampling process until samples are approved for production

  • 2 rounds of samples/fittings, includes updates to tech packs & specs per sample *any further rounds can be charged at our hourly rate 

  • Source all labels for label development, set up labels, run strikeoffs (artwork provided by client or branding team) for 2 rounds of revisions

  • Email follow up / recaps / phone calls – liaison with the factory to answer questions

  • Errands as needed including shopping, buying samples, shipping, factory visits, etc.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

  • Direct and manage bulk production with select factory(s)

  • Detailed costing databases for bulk  production goods

  • Write all purchase orders for bulk materials and goods

  • Grading/grade rule for the entire size range

  • Size chart development for e-commerce

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Detailed time and action calendar for development and production; management of the calendar

  • 15 meetings via in-person/zoom 

  • 4 one-hour brand strategy Zoom meetings

  • Guidance, general consulting, etc. via unlimited email and phone calls.

  • Factory and materials vendor sourcing/set-up/liaising for client

ADD-ONS

Please note that the above quotes do not include the cost of goods for development or bulk production including, but not limited to pattern fees, factory fees, material costs, fit model fees, shipping, etc. See below for more information on these variable cost of goods:

SAMPLING BUDGET

USA Development: We recommend budgeting approximately $1.5K per style to cover all materials, sampling fees from factory vendors, fit model fees, and other related costs throughout the development process (from the initial sample to the final sample). These costs are variable and depend on factors such as the complexity of the styles, the materials used, and the factory where development and production occur. Expenses are paid in smaller amounts directly to the vendor throughout the development process. All costs are discussed in detail and pre-approved by the client to ensure there are no surprise expenses.

Overseas Development: This budget would likely be much lower, or potentially not needed, as overseas factories often provide samples at no cost once a commitment to bulk production is made. However, please note that you must commit to producing in bulk with the factory in order to develop samples overseas.

BULK PRODUCTION BUDGET

This is the most variable budget. Our approach is to reverse-engineer a cost-per-unit target based on your desired retail price and target margins. At the start of the process, our team will help you assess the feasibility of your targets, collaborate with you to refine them, and develop the strategy accordingly.
